Book Review: Dark Wolf Rising by Rhyannon Byrd

Title: Dark Wolf Rising
Series: Bloodrunners #4
Author: Rhyannon Byrd
Published: December 18th 2012 by Harlequin Nocturne
Age: Adult
Eric Drake, a powerful Dark Wolf, has never trusted himself around human females—preferring to mate only within his pack. That is, until he encounters Chelsea Smart snooping around Silvercrest pack land in search of her missing sister.

Secretly, Chelsea thinks Eric is the sexiest man she's ever seen, though she is wary of his potent Alpha energy. Then it's discovered that Chelsea's sister is being held by a pack of vicious Lycans, and Eric heroically leaps into action. Now, Chelsea will risk everything—her body and soul—to surrender to the passion that will mark her as Eric's woman for all eternity…if they survive.
It has been a while since I read paranormal romance, but I really enjoyed Dark Wolf Rising. It was very hot and erotic, and even when it's actually the fourth book of the Bloodrunners series, I could read it as a stand alone.

Eric Drane is a powerful Dark Worlf who doesn't trust himself around the human Chelsea Smart. But her scent is calling him and he can't let her in danger while she finds her sister. So he decides to help her and finds himself caught in a fight of packs and human slaves.

The story is very fast, Eric ad Chelsea liked each other immediately and they relationship was very hot. They fought a lot too, both of them are very undecided and even spoiled sometimes. The other characters were ok, I believe they have their own books, but this time I didn't really think they were necessary. They were very judgmental about the relationship sometimes.

Overall, Dark Wolf Rising was enjoyable and I recommend it for when you need your sexy paranormal romance dose!.

  1. I don't think I've heard of the Blood Runners series before. I like the idea of a series all narrated by different characters!
